Creating Courses

Anyone on the site can create a course — click Create a course and the wizard walks you through it. Whoever creates a course owns it, and the Manage area appears in their navigation automatically.

The four-step wizard

  1. Type — choose what kind of course you're building
  2. Details — title, description, category, level, and course image (with drag-to-reposition framing)
  3. Instructor — your instructor profile: name, headline, bio, and photo, set once and attached to every course you create
  4. Content — sections and lectures

Each step validates before you continue, and the stepper is clickable so you can move back and forth freely. Unsaved changes warn you before navigating away.

Lecture types

  • Uploaded video — upload files in parallel; they're stored securely and streamed to learners.
  • YouTube lecture — paste a YouTube URL; the title, thumbnail, and length import automatically.
  • Text lesson — rich-text written lessons, presented to learners as reading cards in the player.

Lectures are organized into sections — drag to reorder, insert new sections anywhere.

Splitting a long recording

Have one multi-hour recording instead of neat lectures? Upload it once and the app cuts it into chapters right in your browser:

  1. Upload the recording and mark where the chapters begin
  2. Each chapter becomes a normal lecture
  3. Optionally run one-click AI on every chapter: captions, titles, summaries, and quizzes
  4. Chapters are distributed into sections automatically, named by AI from what they cover

Captions

Upload .vtt/.srt caption files, or auto-generate captions with speech-to-text. Captions also power the interactive transcript tab and the AI tutor. See AI features.

Quizzes

Add quizzes anywhere in the curriculum with the quiz editor — questions, options, correct answers, and an optional required-to-complete toggle with a pass score. You can also generate quizzes with AI from any lecture. See Quizzes & certificates.

Editing after publish

Owners edit everything in place from the player — including section names right in the playlist sidebar — with a preview-as-learner toggle to see exactly what learners see. From Manage you can also duplicate a course to a fresh draft or delete it with full cleanup of related records.
